About The Position

The Original Las Brisas Restaurant is a long-standing, family-owned restaurant known for authentic Mexican food, consistency, and warm service. We are looking for a dependable Assistant Cook to support our kitchen team and work alongside our Chef/Founder. This is a great opportunity for someone with commercial kitchen experience who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with a well-established local restaurant.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Mexican cuisine is a plus.
• Able to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Spanish-speaking ability preferred to communicate with the Chef/Founder.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed.
• Food Handler Card required as applicable; candidates without one may obtain it after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes and chef instructions.
• Assist with daily food preparation and customer orders.
• Keep workstations, refrigerators, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen throughout the shift.
• Work closely with the Chef and other kitchen team members.
• Assist with other kitchen duties as needed.
