The Assistant Cook will serve as an assistant and follow directions from the Head Cook and Food Service Supervisor. This role is responsible for preparing healthy, nutritious, and tasty food, using appropriate portion sizes, and performing food preparation, serving, and cleaning duties according to Health Department sanitation standards. The Assistant Cook will also operate the Point of Sales System as needed, attend required meetings or in-services, and take over Head Cook responsibilities during their absence based on seniority. Maintaining a neat appearance, working cooperatively, and performing other designated tasks are also key aspects of this position.
