About The Position

Performs a variety of duties in the Cedar City Senior Center related to the preparation of meals for Congregate and Home Delivery. Assists the Cook in preparation of the meals and helps with packaging and sealing of meals for the Meals on Wheels process. This position works up to 20 hours per week and requires availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The days and hours are set and not flexible. The role operates under the direction of the Center Director and Center Cook.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of nutrition, sanitation and cooking standards
• Ability to meet and serve the public in a positive manner
• Knowledge of all kitchen equipment, slicing, chopping, and operating ovens and stoves for cooking at high temperatures
• Knowledge of all policies in place for the Nutrition Program

Nice To Haves

• Work related cooking experience for large groups
