About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall success of AMP. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in a mixture of public and operational accounting environments.
• Proven track record of exceptional project management, close management, and team management in a hybrid and remote environment.
• Proven experience in GAAP, financial reporting, variance analysis, and core accounting functions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in multi-state, multi-site healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support strategic decision-decision.
• Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Oversee the general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Conduct variance analysis and communicate financial performance to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address audit inquiries.
• Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and coordination with external tax advisors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and actively contribute to enhancing efficiency.
• Work closely with other departments, providing financial expertise and assisting in various projects.
