About The Position
This senior-level accounting position is designed for a high-performing senior Accountant ready to expand their scope and develop into a future managerial role. The Junior Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations while taking increasing ownership of close processes, payroll, commissions, reconciliations, and reporting. This role is hands-on and visible, providing a clear growth path towards managerial-level responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
- 5+ Years experience
- Managerial Experience (Team of 3)
- Manufacturing Industry (Cost Accounting)
Responsibilities
- Support monthly and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, cash, and balance sheet schedules
- Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and management reports
- Support payroll and commission processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely recording
- Help enforce accounting policies, documentation standards, and internal controls
- Assist with audit requests, regulatory reporting, and tax support as needed
- Identify process inefficiencies and assist with improvements and automation
- Serve as backup for core accounting functions during peak periods
