Under direct supervision, you will assist in the development and implementation of essential accounting processes, guaranteeing compliance with GAAP and internal standards. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our operational efficiency and profitability. This position offices at the production facility at 189 West Bypass, Moultrie GA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on accounting, finance or related.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in an operational environment, preferably within the food or production industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A strong sense of urgency and the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering results and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.

  • Experience with BPCS or ERP systems, particularly in inventory accounting, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the review, revision, and implementation of operating procedures for tracking finished goods, raw materials, and expenses
  • Compile comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production yields, labor efficiency and other operations based reports that help managers drive changes to costs and throughput
  • Conduct thorough reviews, reporting, and reconciliations of inventory on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; partner with team members to address and explain variances.
  • Update Profit and Loss statements by integrating sales, costs, volume, and variance data to enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Assist in the month-end close process, including reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventories
  • Contribute to the preparation of forecasts, annual budgets, and business plans as assigned.
  • Monitor adherence to internal control procedures within the facility; communicate any discrepancies identified during audits and reviews.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining our internal and web-based systems for product and inventory management
  • Actively engage with operations and division management to foster collaboration and efficiency.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at process improvement within the operations and accounting teams.
  • Address special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of integrity and professionalism.
