As Assistant Controller, you’ll take on a key leadership role, helping guide the financial direction of the business while supporting scalable growth. In this role, you’ll act as a key partner to the Controller, helping oversee financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support high-level financial strategy. You’ll operate at both a leadership and advisory level—providing visibility into performance, guiding decisions, and aligning accounting operations with business goals.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience reviewing and overseeing close processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience (Business Central is a plus)
  • Proven leadership and team development experience
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to operate at both detailed and high-level perspectives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with financial oversight exposure
  • Leadership experience managing accounting functions, teams, or cross-functional projects

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred
  • ERP system experience (Business Central is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting operations (A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger)
  • Partner with the Controller on financial reporting and GAAP compliance
  • Review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close deliverables
  • Analyze financials and share actionable insights with leadership
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning efforts
  • Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
  • Drive process and system improvements
  • Support audits and ensure compliance readiness
