About The Position

Bridgepoint Consulting, an Addison Group Company, is a leading management consulting firm that helps companies throughout their business lifecycle. We offer a broad range of finance, technology, and risk/compliance services to support clients from startup to IPO readiness. We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our growing Financial Operations practice. As an Assistant Controller at Bridgepoint, you will be a valuable part of our client delivery team. Requirements

5-8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
B.A. or B.S. required, Accounting or Finance degrees are a plus
Strong desire for consulting-style work and delivering excellent customer service
Industry experience in start-ups, technology, software, oilfield services, insurance and Big Four/public accounting is highly preferred
Experience with monthly close procedures, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
Recent hands-on experience with routine accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management
Hands-on experience with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains or Intacct), along with moderate to advanced experience with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
Demonstration of a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues
Past experience working in small to mid-sized company environment with the ability to multi-task and wear several hats

Nice To Haves

CPA and/or MBA preferred
Prior employment by a Big Four or other nationally recognized accounting firms
Industry experience in emerging growth, technology, and SaaS companies
Revenue Recognitions highly preferred

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with Current and prospective clients
Interact with BPC members in Financial Operations and other practice areas of the firm to coordinate excellent delivery
Assist with reconciliations, month end reporting, preparing clients for audit, cleaning up their books, and assisting their department with integration of merger and acquisition data
Interact directly with the client contact (CFO, Controller) and their staff
Provide project status updates, feedback, and thoughtful insights into client challenges for your delivery manager
