About The Position

The CSSO will be responsible for assisting the FSO to ensure the company’s adherence to policies and procedures of the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD). In addition, responsible for assistance in maintaining Top Secret Facility Clearances for two corporate entities.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain secure network access with government customer.
  • Minimum 1-3 years industrial security experience that includes familiarity with the duties of an FSO.
  • PC proficiency including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and ability to learn company specific software.
  • Ability to adapt to new or changing software programs.
  • Knowledge of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), NISS, DISS and Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing System (e-QIP).
  • Current or recently terminated TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Well developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and highly motivated
  • Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess good organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Facility Security Officer with the following duties: Support the Facility Security Program.
  • Prepare training and administer all required briefings and annual security refresher training.
  • Participate in the company Insider Threat Program.
  • Coordinate escort briefings for cleared employees.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of security responsibilities as mandated by various government customers and programs.
  • Maintain and regularly review e-CPRLs for all COPT and subcontractor personnel.
  • Submit badge requests to the COR for all COPT and subcontractor personnel.
  • Renew badges as required.
  • Ensure that all DD254s are up-to-date and reviewed annually per government requirements.
  • Prepare DD254s for subcontractors.
  • Assist with periodic self-inspections in accordance with NISPOM and DCSA requirements.
  • Review and submit all Foreign Travel Requests for all cleared employees and subcontractors.
  • Submit visit letters for COPT personnel and subcontractors as needed.
  • Maintain all security files and documentation in accordance with various government agency policies.
  • Coordinate the initial clearance process for employees which requires reviewing security questionnaire for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure scheduling for initial and reinvestigation polygraphs.
  • Scheduling of indoctrination briefings and debriefings with appropriate government offices as required.
  • Initiate reinvestigations of cleared personnel per current DCSA policy.
  • Use and knowledge of various government systems to include MPO, NBIS, e-APP, DISS, NISS.
  • Investigate security violations, incidents, and insider threat concerns to prepare reports when indicated.
  • Create relationships with USG personnel in order to facilitate the clearance, DD254 and the e-CPRL process.
  • Regular interaction with COR to get required approvals as needed.
  • Maintain contact with government Industrial Security In-House Program to keep up to date on all security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
