About The Position

Assists in managing all aspects of a building’s occupancy and maintenance. This role involves meeting with prospective tenants, explaining lease terms, and processing rental applications. The position also requires timely distribution of notices for non-payment of rent, conducting move-out inspections, and managing rent collection and records. Additionally, the Assistant Community Manager will be responsible for placing approved advertising, building relationships with tenants and vendors, and collaborating with the property management team on marketing materials. The role also includes ensuring property quality and cleanliness through regular walks and unit readiness checks, and strictly complying with anti-discrimination laws.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of property management experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a building’s occupancy and maintenance.
  • Show properties to prospective tenants, conduct interviews, and receive rental applications.
  • Explain terms of occupancy to prospective tenants.
  • Produce and distribute notices for non-payment of rent timely and within regulations.
  • Conduct apartment inspections upon move out to complete the statement of deposit within state set timelines.
  • Place advertising, online or in print, when directed by supervisor.
  • Build relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members, ensuring satisfaction and success.
  • Collaborate with property management team to produce advertising materials to attract new tenants.
  • Process applications and conduct credit checks.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants regarding property-related issues.
  • Collect, process, and maintain records of rent payments and rental activity.
  • Comply with anti-discrimination laws with regard to housing, renting and advertising.
  • Walk property and ready units to ensure quality and cleanliness.
