About The Position

Greystar is seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager for Beaumont Grand. This role is crucial to the success of the community, supporting the Community Manager in overseeing financial and operational aspects. The Assistant Community Manager will handle accounting and bookkeeping tasks, prepare financial reports, process invoices, collect rent and fees, manage bank deposits and reconciliations, and utilize property management software for financial tracking and reporting.

Requirements

  • Previous property management experience is required.
  • Fee management experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Financially savvy; previous experience in creating/adhering to budgets, fiscal reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • High level of professionalism in both manner and dress.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional knowledge of business discipline.
  • Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
  • Incumbents must have all licenses and/or certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
  • Incumbents must have valid driver’s license to drive a golf cart on property.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
  • Strong proficiency in using property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Yardi/OneSite software proficiency highly desired but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits and process invoices and payables.
  • Stay up-to-date on rent assistance policies and programs.
  • Assist the leasing team in touring apartments with prospects (virtual and in-person).
  • Review and submit invoices from vendors, contractors, and service providers for payment.
  • Process resident move-outs according to lease terms and legal requirements.
  • Respond to resident questions, concerns, and requests in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the on-site office and marketing teams to create resident activities and events.
  • Act as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager.
  • Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite) and complete transactions accurately.
  • Review resident files and accounting records for outstanding balances and communicate with residents.
  • Implement procedures for collecting delinquencies and enforce the lease to maximize revenue.
  • Reconcile work performed or products purchased for invoices, obtain manager approval, and code charges.
  • Follow established procedures for evictions, including proper notice requirements and court representation.
  • Promote resident satisfaction and retention by addressing service issues.
  • Assist in managing the client/owner relationship by meeting with owners and providing community performance updates.
  • May assist with leasing and marketing efforts, including greeting prospects, showing apartments, and processing applications.
