About The Position

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager for Kennedy Plaza Apartments in Utica, NY. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for motivated professionals to help us build strong, welcoming communities. The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents while effectively promoting the property and its benefits to prospective tenants.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in affordable housing (HUD, LIHTC, RD required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
  • Strong leasing, financial, and bookkeeping skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Positive, confident demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
  • Must be able to pass a 5-year background check
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HUD, DHCR, HFA, Fair Housing, ADA, OSHA, and all federal, state, and local laws related to multifamily housing
  • Process move-ins, move-outs, and security deposit documentation using property management software
  • Maintain organized and accurate resident and property files, including verifications, lease renewals, and collections
  • Assist with lease renewals, prepare necessary documentation, and coordinate interim and annual recertifications
