About The Position
The Assistant Boys Hockey Coach supports the head coach with the operation and organization of the boys hockey program at Hanover High School. The selected candidate coaches the JV team at all practices and games, conducts practices, motivates students, and instructs players in game strategies and techniques. The season runs from the end of November to late February. The position starts 11/30/2026.
Requirements
- Strong hockey background.
- Experience playing and/or coaching hockey.
- First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
- Meet NHIAA and NHFS coaching requirements before coaching.
Responsibilities
- Support the head coach with the operation and organization of the boys hockey program.
- Coach the JV team at all practices and games.
- Conduct practices.
- Motivate students.
- Instruct players in game strategies and techniques.
