About The Position

Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees. This is a Casual Hire temporary appointment expected to begin July 2026 or soon thereafter, not to exceed one year.

Requirements

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in any field and two (2) years/seasons of experience in coaching collegiate soccer; or any equivalent combination of education and/or coaching experience and/or playing at the collegiate level which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior NCAA DII coaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Head Coach and Women’s Soccer Program with developing a program that will be competitive in the Pacific West Conference.
  • Planning, scheduling and conducting team practices and workouts.
  • Organizing clinics and participating in community projects.
  • Responsible for ordering, keeping inventory and maintenance of uniforms, supplies and equipment.
  • Responsible for field maintenance and field improvement.
  • Responsible for completing and submitting all required compliance forms and timely submission of CARA and recruit logs.
  • Know and abide by the rules, regulations and policies of the University of Hawaii, the Athletics Department, the Pacific West Conference and the NCAA.
  • Perform other duties/functions as assigned.
