About The Position

The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics, fostering integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success. The University of Arizona is seeking an Assistant Coach, Women’s Gymnastics, reporting directly to the Head Coach of Women’s Gymnastics. This position assists in all facets of a Division I Women’s Gymnastics program and acts within the rules and regulations of the University, Conference, and NCAA. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Level 10 / College experience.
  • Ability to drive according to the University University Fleet Safety Policy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to support student-athlete academic and athletic success.
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of position-related NCAA, Big 12, and University of Arizona rules and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, meet performance goals, and maintain a professional and collaborative work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities, and successfully manage multiple priority projects.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and assist with various events.
  • Identify, monitor results, contact recruiting prospects, coordinate on/off campus visits, evaluations, and contacts.
  • Assist Head Coach with daily office management of program.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of all applicable NCAA rules and regulations while fulfilling prescribed duties.
  • Assist in donor relations, alumni relations, fundraising, and community outreach.
  • Assist with team travel.
  • Budget accountability.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
