Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball
About The Position
Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Women's Basketball program. This part-time, limited-term position is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the basketball program. The role includes maintaining program integrity, fostering an exemplary student-athlete concept, and supporting the personal development of student-athletes both on and off the court. The Assistant Coach must adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the college and governing organizations, ensuring that student-athlete behavior reflects positively on the College and its athletics program.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
- Two (2) years of coaching experience at a related skill level.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Four (4) years of College-level playing experience in respective sport may be substituted for coaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the planning and administering of all aspects of the Basketball program.
- Maintaining the integrity of the program.
- Maintaining an exemplary student-athlete concept.
- Supporting the personal development of student-athletes both on and off the court/field.
- Ensuring student-athlete behavior reflects favorably upon the College community and the athletics program.
- Following all rules and regulations pertaining to the program and appropriate governing organizations.
