About The Position

This is a seasonal coaching position for the C Team Volleyball at Kent-Meridian High School for the 2026-2027 school year. Placement on the salary schedule is based on years of coaching experience. All coaching positions are posted as open until filled. Applicants applying within 5 days of initial posting are guaranteed consideration per the Coaches collective bargaining agreement. Persons applying for paid coaching positions must meet district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check. Applicants for assistant coaching positions must be at least 19 years of age and possess a valid first aid and CPR card. The application process involves completing the KSD online application, professional reference forms, and various required training modules annually or every three years as specified.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age.
Must have a valid first aid and CPR card.
Must meet district and WIAA requirements.
Must have a valid background check.
Complete the KSD online application process including professional reference forms.
Annually complete the WIAA general rules clinic.
Annually complete the WIAA-approved rule clinic for the sport being coached.
Annually complete the KSD Vector Training requirements prior to the beginning of the sports season.
Successfully complete Concussion recognition and management with Return to Play Protocols training (renewed every three years).
Successfully complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training (renewed every three years).
Before the beginning of the third year of coaching, complete a school district-approved Coaching Principles training, or complete the NFHS Coaches Fundamentals Course, or attend all sessions of the WIAA Coaches School, or other Coaches School as approved by the WIAA or the local school district.
Repeat the Coaching Principles training every three years after initial completion.
