About The Position

Join a nationally recognized Women’s Volleyball program with a strong history of regional and national success! Williams College is seeking an ambitious, mission-driven Assistant Coach who is ready to contribute to a culture that champions both academic and athletic competitive excellence. The Assistant Coach of Women’s Volleyball is a 10-month, 40-hour per week position with a salary of $36,545, and comes with a full meal plan. This role is fully benefitted and also provides full tuition remission of graduate school coursework after six months of employment. Williams Volleyball has consistently been regarded as one of the top volleyball programs in the Northeast, with a tradition of success at the regional and national levels. The program has won eight NESCAC titles including four straight from 2001-2004 and three straight from 2007-2009. Williams has appeared in 14 NESCAC championship matches since 1994 and participated in the NCAA tournament 13 times, including four trips to the Elite Eight and seven trips to the Sweet Sixteen. Our volleyball family has a history of team success on and off the court with many players earning individual accolades including All-Conference, All-Region, All- American and All-Academic honors. We compete in the highly competitive NESCAC conference which has elevated itself to one of the region’s and country’s toughest conferences for our sport in Division III. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and collegiate competing and/or coaching experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively preferred
  • Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA and NESCAC rules
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated and possess the ability to recruit, teach, and coach highly talented scholar-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment
  • Valid driver's license is required

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in all areas, including:
  • Student-athlete development
  • Collaborating on and executing advanced practice design and game strategies with student athletes
  • Practice design
  • Travel organization
  • Team transportation and driving
  • Budget
  • Home game management
  • Video and statistical analysis
  • Support the head coach in recruiting efforts to identify and attract top talent
  • Administrative office duties
  • Other duties as assigned by head coach
