About The Position

The University of Nevada Athletics Department is recruiting an Assistant Coach, Men's Tennis. Assistant coaches are responsible primarily for assisting in the teaching and training of technical information related to the performance of the sport, instruction related to technique of the sport, student-athlete conditioning, and tutoring regarding practice methods and imparting strategies for competing. Assistant coaches assist with recruitment and retention of student-athletes, public relations, program promotion and program administration. Higher level assistant coaches may advise student-athletes regarding athletic, academic and social issues and assist the Head coach in management duties such as guiding junior coaches, budgeting, and logistical coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience or Master's Degree and one year of related work experience
  • Team coaching experience and/or playing experience (at the high school, Junior College, NAIA, NCAA I, II, III, or higher level)
