About The Position

The Assistant Coach for Men’s Baseball supports the head coach in the planning and operation of the Cornell Men’s Baseball program. This includes assisting with practice and games; preparation as assigned; evaluating performances and making recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in games. The Assistant Coach looks to identify, encourage, and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant baseball experience (coaching or competitive collegiate playing) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting and developing student-athletes.
  • Highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter.
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coaching hitters at the college level.
