About The Position
Paterson Public Schools is seeking two (2) Assistant Coaches for Indoor Track (Boys & Girls) for the upcoming Winter sports season. The season will run from December 1, 2026, to March 8, 2027. This position is contingent upon budget availability and is open for ten (10) consecutive days following the posting date on the Paterson Public Schools website. Requirements
- New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate.
- Proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder.
- Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both.
- Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually.
- Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.
- All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".
Nice To Haves
- Coaching experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Be available daily during the WINTER sports season.
- Coach boys and girls indoor track.
