About The Position

This role involves assisting in the coaching of a field hockey team, with a significant portion of the work conducted outdoors. The position requires a blend of independent and group work, with specific physical demands including frequent lifting of lighter objects and occasional lifting of heavier items, as well as pushing/pulling. The role also involves frequent reaching, twisting, and stretching, along with fine manipulation and grasping with hands. Basic math, reading, writing, and keyboard skills are necessary, as are visual, hearing, and speaking sensory skills.

Requirements

  • Working alone – 30%; working in groups – 60%
  • Sitting – 33.3%; Walking – 33.3%; Standing – 33.3%
  • Working indoors – 10% and Outdoors – 90%
  • Frequent lifting of objects weighing less than 10 pounds
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing 50 pounds or greater
  • Occasional pushing/pulling objects weighing 25 pounds or greater
  • Frequent reaching for objects at, above, and below the shoulder
  • Frequent twisting at waist, and stretching to reach objects
  • Occasional fine manipulation with hands
  • Frequent simple grasping; occasional power grasping
  • Basic Math skill (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Reading skills including understanding written direction
  • Writing skills in preparing and organizing documents
  • Sensory skills (ie; visual, hearing, and speaking)
  • Keyboard skills
