About The Position
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Equestrian position. This is a part-time, 11-month role located in Providence, Rhode Island. The position will assist the Head Coach and provide administrative assistance with compliance, recruiting, scheduling, and team travel logistics. This position is not benefits-eligible.
Requirements
- Demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations.
- Perform duties in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League rules and regulations.
- Report any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division to the compliance office and appropriate parties.
- Receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting by the compliance office.
- Maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification.
- Complete a criminal background and DMV check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Collegiate, professional, high school, or club sports coaching experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, Ivy League, and University policy and procedures.
- Assist with team travel planning and logistics.
- Supporting recruiting and alumni outreach.
- Help manage the team roster.
- Support the Head Coach as needed.
