About The Position

Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach for its Acrobatics & Tumbling program. This role involves assisting in program management, including coaching, administration, recruitment, and coordination of the collegiate women’s acrobatics and tumbling program. Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational institution with a diverse student body and a strong athletic program, including multiple Division I teams with national and conference successes. Requirements

  • Sport specific skill instruction
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Mandatory USA Gymnastics Professional Development Certification and Safe Sport Training
  • Mandatory NCATA Professional Annual Training
  • Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, and Conference regulations
  • Instruct student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests
  • Participate in weekly staff calls and required department staff calls (when available)
  • Assist the Head Coach with daily and weekly practice planning and distribute to team and appropriate departments
  • Be present for all home meets
  • Travel with team to the extent available to all away competitions
  • Work with Head Coach and Assistant Coach to submit NCATA SV File Submissions prior to competition
  • Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned), scheduling, official visit paperwork, informational sessions, team promotion, and camp development and compliance
  • Assist in the future development of Acrobatics & Tumbling alumni and community relations
  • Assist with team travel, scheduling, budgeting and fundraising
  • Other duties, as assigned
