About The Position

Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics invites applications for an Assistant Coach, Acrobatics & Tumbling to assist in program management, including coaching, administration, recruitment, and coordination of the collegiate women’s acrobatics and tumbling program. Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. The university currently has an enrollment of 9,700 students in more than 100-degree programs. The university is in the midst of program expansion and renewal for both traditional and adult learners, the development of innovative strategic partnerships, and just opened a South Quad with three new buildings. Requirements

Sport specific skill instruction
Effective oral and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Mandatory USA Gymnastics Professional Development Certification and Safe Sport Training
Mandatory NCATA Professional Annual Training
Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to work nights and weekends
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds

Responsibilities

Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, and Conference rules and regulations
Instruct student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests
Participate in weekly staff calls and required department staff calls (when available)
Assist the Head Coach with daily and weekly practice planning and distribute to team and appropriate departments
Be present for all home meets
Travel with team to the extent available to all away competitions
Work with Head Coach and Assistant Coach to submit NCATA SV File Submissions prior to competition
Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned), scheduling, official visit paperwork, informational sessions, team promotion, and camp development and compliance
Assist in the future development of Acrobatics & Tumbling alumni and community relations
Assist with team travel, scheduling, budgeting and fundraising
Other duties, as assigned
