About The Position

The Assistant Site Director assists the Site Director in leading the daily operations of the after-school program serving between 200-260 elementary-aged students. This position supports staff supervision, student engagement, program quality, safety, and compliance with company policies and Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards. This position has the ability for advancement as a Co-Director.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with school-age children in a licensed childcare, after-school, camp, recreation, or educational setting required.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or program coordination experience required.
  • Must currently meet, or be eligible to meet, Texas Child Care Licensing qualifications for a Site Director in a licensed before- and after-school program.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet all licensing requirements.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily program operations and staff supervision.
  • Ensure student safety through active supervision, attendance tracking, and accurate headcounts.
  • Support engaging activities including homework assistance, active play, STEAM, enrichment, and free exploration.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, school personnel, and staff.
  • Support positive behavior management and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with maintaining required documentation and licensing compliance.
  • Help plan and support special events, trainings, and program activities.
  • Serve as acting site leader in the absence of the Site Director.
