About The Position

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator II (ACRC II) supports daily clinical research operations under the direction and ongoing supervision of the Site Manager, Site Director, and Principal Investigator, ensuring compliance with required protocols. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and assisting with clinical trials by conducting patient recruitment, enrollment, and retention.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited healthcare certification program is required
  • Approximately 2–3 years of clinical research experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in phlebotomy and EKGs required
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and medical terminology knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • A proven ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience working directly with patients/participants in a clinical setting
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Certified Medical Assistant required
  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • Maintain IATA certification and other job‑related certifications as required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in running research protocols preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CRC and senior team as requested to facilitate research and business needs
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with study patients regarding study objectives and ongoing instructions
  • Administer questionnaires and monitor participant compliance
  • Acknowledge study patients' needs and tend to them appropriately
  • Collect patient medical history and medical conditions
  • Obtain informed consent
  • Coordinate with laboratories to ensure timely participant testing
  • Collect and evaluate concomitant medications
  • Collect and evaluate medical records for compliance
  • Perform study procedures such as EKGs, vital signs, nasal swabs, and protocol‑specific procedures
  • Verify the accuracy of data collected
  • Perform administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and equipment for the study
  • Recruit patients for clinical trials based on criteria outlined in the study protocol
  • Develop study eSource documents to comply with study protocol
  • Manage all required study start-up documentation, training, and timelines on assigned study protocols
  • Meet all study protocol requirements and deadlines
  • Enter data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems and resolve data queries
  • Perform other duties as assigned
