Assistant Clinical Manager - Wilson, NC
About The Position
Dixon Social Interactive Services (DSIS) is seeking a qualified and compassionate Assistant Clinical Manager to support management, administration, and access to care across programs at an assigned site in Wilson, North Carolina. Working under the direction of the Clinical Manager, this role supports continuity of care, timely access to services, quality clinical operations, and compliance with NC Medicaid, NCDHHS, applicable licensing boards, and DSIS standards. The position provides clinical and leadership support across multiple programs and services. The employee will receive training in the full scope of Clinical Manager responsibilities and may provide coverage for the Clinical Manager as needed. The Assistant Clinical Manager may support programs including SACOT, SAIOP, Tailored Care Management, Intensive In-Home, Peer Support Services, Outpatient Therapy, and future in-person or virtual DSIS services. The role requires flexibility to work across programs, independent work alongside multidisciplinary collaboration, and participation in additional clinical and operational responsibilities as assigned. The position requires a current North Carolina full or provisional license in a qualifying behavioral health discipline and the ability and willingness to conduct Diagnostic Assessments and Comprehensive Clinical Assessments. The Assistant Clinical Manager is also expected to maintain required certifications and training, including NCI and Community First Aid/CPR, and complete required continuing education and clinical supervision activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related human services field.
- Current and active North Carolina full or provisional license in a qualifying discipline: LCSW(-A), LCMHC(-A), LMFT(-A), LCAS(-A), or an equivalent qualifying credential.
- Maintain licensure in good standing and fulfill required board supervision requirements if provisionally licensed.
- Willingness and ability to conduct Diagnostic Assessments and Comprehensive Clinical Assessments.
- Maintain NCI certification and Community First Aid/CPR certification, as well as any additional certifications required by DSIS.
- Complete required training and continuing education, including training in BH I/DD Tailored Plan eligibility and services, whole-person health and unmet resource needs, crisis prevention and intervention, HIPAA and confidentiality, First Aid/CPR, and clinical documentation and Medicaid compliance.
- Strong clinical documentation, assessment, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across programs, work independently, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide Clinical Manager coverage when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of post-graduate supervised experience providing behavioral health services.
- Experience in community-based behavioral health, substance use, or related clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Participate in programs and services offered at the assigned DSIS site.
- Conduct Diagnostic Assessments, Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, and other required clinical documentation.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy based on program needs and assignments.
- Assist with treatment plan development, implementation, and review.
- Support continuity of care and high-quality clinical service delivery.
- Support the supervision and development of QPs, APs, PP's, CADCs, and other assigned staff.
- Assist with onboarding, mentoring, orientation, and training of new employees.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to staff.
- Assist with performance reviews and professional development planning.
- Serve as a clinical resource and promote effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Support the site's access-to-care model and monitor goals and barriers to timely service initiation.
- Assist with site-wide clinical initiatives and new program rollouts.
- Support coverage and caseload management across services and promote coordination across programs.
- Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable requirements.
- Participate in chart audits, quality assurance activities, and compliance monitoring.
- Support staff in maintaining appropriate clinical documentation and billing standards, and help address documentation and compliance concerns.
- Respond to client crises in accordance with DSIS policies and clinical protocols.
- Assist clients and caregivers with individualized crisis plans.
- Collaborate with treatment team members, caregivers, and other providers during crisis situations.
- Provide coverage for Clinical Manager responsibilities when needed.
- Complete and maintain required training, continuing education, and clinical supervision participation.
