The Assistant Clinical Manager - Labor and Delivery will assist PCC leadership with day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality and cost-effective patient care. This role involves serving as a Charge Nurse, managing patient and non-patient care assignments, and maintaining staffing requirements in accordance with policies and patient volume. The position requires collaboration with physicians, management, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care and achieve high patient satisfaction. The Assistant Clinical Manager will contribute to system, site, and unit goals by prioritizing duties, ensuring accurate reporting of census, acuity, and staffing, and maintaining essential supplies and equipment. Compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies is crucial, as is promoting patient safety and participating in safety initiatives. The role involves responding to patient and family concerns, contributing to performance improvement plans, and serving as a clinical resource to staff. Additionally, the Assistant Clinical Manager will facilitate the care management process, model excellent service standards, and take initiative in problem resolution and conflict management. They will also support a positive work environment for staff growth and development, assist with staff education and competency assessments, and conduct performance evaluations.
