The purpose of this position is to provide technical and professional work as a legal advisor to the City Commission, City Manager, and department directors on assigned issues of applicable local, State, and Federal laws, regulations, and ordinances affecting the City, with an emphasis on laws, rules, and regulations that pertain to Class C misdemeanors. This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. McAllen is one of the fastest growing cities in America with a population alone close to 148,000.
