About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this position supports the integration, coordination and direction of nursing and patient care with the overall operation of the hospital. Assists CNO in ensuring the provision of the level of care required by current medical and nursing standards. Acts as CNO, when needed. Supports nursing and patient care to ensure that delivery of high-quality, high level of patient experience and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of MMH and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The ACNO participates in the nursing strategic plan and contributes to the achievement of the health system’s goals and objectives. The ACNO promotes a culture of Service Excellence with all customer groups. Provides day to day operational oversight for assigned departments. Manages assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality and safety of services within operating budget and staffing standards.. Assists with service line and business development activities in the assigned areas of responsibility. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to Manatee Health’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance, required training, and immediately reporting suspected compliance issues(s) to the Compliance Officer. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of patient care services Director level management experience, required
  • Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN, required
  • MSN, required
  • Current RN licensure in Florida
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Current ACLS through American Heart Association, preferred
