About The Position

This position reports to the Chief Instructor. Responsibilities include: Working under the guidance of the Chief Instructor to implement or change policies and procedures as necessary to increase training quality and reduce the level and/impact of risk, and ensure training materials, curriculum, and testing standards are continually improved to provide the best possible training Being available to conduct instructor training and FAR Part 141 proficiency checks Being available to conduct student training and stage checks Being able to perform all delegated Chief Instructor responsibilities Supports and participates in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to comply with ISO9001:2015 requirements by adhering to processes and procedures

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must hold at least an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating
  • Must have CFI, CFII, and MEI certificates
  • Meets requirements of FAR 141.36 Assistant Chief Instructor
  • 1000 hours as Pilot in Command Total of 500 hours training given as flight instructor and 1.5 years of flight training experience OR 750 total hours acting as flight instructor 125 hours training given as CFII and 1 year of flight training experience as a CFII OR 200 hours training given as CFII
  • Ability to pass a Part 141 Assistant Chief Instructor proficiency check for both single and multi-engine airplanes
  • Proficient on Microsoft Word and Power Point
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to provide a high level of instruction
  • Ability to coordinate with necessary people and departments to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects
  • Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implement solutions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and does not wait for others to provide work, finds ways to keep busy and help others
  • Personal vehicle in good condition is required
