About The Position

As Assistant Chief Engineer, you will support the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the Engineering department. You will partner directly with the Chief Engineer to oversee lodge units, association property, mechanical systems, and overall facilities to ensure everything operates at the highest standards.
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance and team leadership.
- Hotel experience, preferable in a full service upscale independent hotel.
- A keen sense for training and coaching great people.
- Dependable, organized and have a positive, can-do mindset.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and feedback from your manager.
- Solid foundational understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, and general building construction, and reading blueprints.
- Tech-Savvy mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Google Workspace (Docs), and other work-based applications.
- Strong reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends to support a dynamic hotel environment.

Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily departmental operations, staffing, and team development
- Managing preventive maintenance schedules and performing daily facility inspections
- Ensuring high-standard maintenance across all guest areas, lodge units, and mechanical systems
