About The Position

WTOV is looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer. This role involves overseeing all engineering functions of the station, including planning for future equipment installations, requirements, and budgetary recommendations. The Assistant Chief Engineer will also manage the WTOV Mobile Production Unit and supervise the maintenance of computer software, hardware, and local area network applications. Ensuring software license compliance and up-to-date software versions is crucial. The role includes supervising the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of broadcast electronic equipment such as cameras, audio and video equipment, microwave transmitters and receivers, satellite receivers, and computing equipment. Transmitter maintenance will also be supervised and/or performed. Collaboration with Corporate leadership is required to ensure security and FCC compliance.

Requirements

• Dedication to quality and time management while upholding to all FCC regulations
• Hold a valid driver's license
• Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings
• Ability to work on ladders, stand for long periods of time, and lift computers or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Technical degree in electronics or a related field, or an equivalent of work and educational experience
