As the Assistant Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO) at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare (COBH), you will assist the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) in providing strategic and operational oversight of all clinical services within COBH. This includes managing 208 inpatient beds in the main hospital, 52 maximum-security inpatient beds in the Moritz building, and serving approximately 250 outpatient clients through the Community Support Network (CSN). Your role involves supervising assigned psychiatrists, evaluating their performance, approving time and leave requests, and providing coaching and counseling. You will offer guidance and direction to all medical staff, ensuring psychiatric care adheres to the standards and requirements set by COBH, DBH, ORC, and the Joint Commission. Regular meetings with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary treatment teams will be held to review cases, treatment plans, and progress, offering guidance on complex cases. You will also help oversee bed management, admissions, discharges, and waitlists, and collaborate with external psychiatrists and physicians to ensure coordinated and continuous care within the community. Additionally, you will provide general training and educational services to medical/clinical staff, serve as the director of Psychiatric Education, and act as a liaison to the OSU Department of Psychiatry and other affiliated educational institutions. You will function as a collaborating physician for Advance Practice Nurses at COBH to comply with medical staff bylaws and perform as the Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) or Cross Coverage Doctor (CCD) as needed.
