Assistant Cheer Coach
About The Position
Champion Force Athletics is seeking additional Cheerleading Coaches to assist or head up teams across the country. Coaches must be team players willing to coach all levels of teams and classes. The role involves working with children ages 4–15 and teaching cheer classes. Classes may be spread throughout the evening, and most coaches will work no more than 3–4 classes in a day. Coaches should be available for 1–2 evenings of practice and some weekend travel to competitions. Responsibilities also include preparing classes, teaching students, overseeing class check-ins, and basic record-keeping. Occasional meetings, clinics, and cheer competitions take place each session. Candidates must pass a background check.
Requirements
- Must be a team player and willing to coach all levels of teams and classes.
- Must enjoy working with children ages 4–15.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be enthusiastic and interested in making a difference in the lives of youth.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects and deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous cheer knowledge is preferred but not required.
- A gymnastics background is a plus.
- Cheer, dance, or gymnastics experience is preferred.
- Experience teaching children is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist or lead cheer teams and coach classes at all levels.
