Requirements

  • Minimum: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years additional courses in social sciences or related field.
  • One year’s experience working with young adults.
  • Knowledge of disciplinary techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively relate to student population.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Knowledge of word processing software applications.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR/FA certification.
  • Frequently Sitting, Seeing, Hearing, Speaking.
  • Occasionally Standing, Walking, Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Flexibility.
  • Seldom Climbing, Lifting 50 pounds, Carrying, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Running, Driving.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to read at a college level.
  • Ability to write at a college level.

Responsibilities

  • Must model the Company Core Values and the operating principles at all times.
  • Must create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
  • Adheres to all PRH and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.
  • Reviews all behavioral reports for consistency and conformity to the rules; informs supervisor of irregularities.
  • Monitors and coordinates all class attendance reports from the Career Development Department, forwarding these reports to the Resident Advisors and then to the Center Standards Officer for disciplinary action.
  • Assists in preparation of all statistical reports necessary in compiling the Monthly Management Report, and other statistics concerning disciplinary activities.
  • Ensures proper recording and documentation of all disciplinary systems and that Job Corps policies and guidelines are followed.
  • Maintains a complete file of all student disciplinary records.
  • Maintains reports, files and systems to assist Center Standards Officer in rapid retrieval of data.
  • May facilitate periodic focus groups with students as it pertains to center culture, accountability, norms, and other relevant topics.
  • Attends required staff training sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
