About The Position
Assistant Directors at The Learning Experience influence the growth and development of both children and teachers. Requirements
- One or more years of Assistant Director experience required.
- Must have professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children.
- Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
- Must meet state specific guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field highly preferred.
- CPR and First Aide Certification highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director with the daily operation of the Center.
- Assist the Director with recruitment of new team members and lead the orientation process.
- Oversee licensing compliance.
- Develop schedules for team members.
- Audit and update personnel and enrollment files annually.
- Administer annual parent surveys.
- Conduct formal and informal observations to evaluate team members, provide feedback, and annual performance evaluations.
- Review and edit team and parent handbooks at least annually.
- Conduct center tours and provide program information to prospective clients.
- Substitute in classrooms as needed.
- Leads tour with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.
- Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress.
- Executes “parent pleasers”.
- Execution of our Show and Tell.
- Regularly audits and maintains all records and files for students and teachers.
- Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
- Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts center evaluations.
- Responsible for accident/incident reporting.
- Medication management.
- Conducts monthly emergency safety drills.
- Manages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulations.
Benefits
- Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
