About The Position

Kids Science Labs is seeking a dynamic Assistant Center Director for its summer camp program in Seattle. This role is responsible for inspiring children aged 4-12 through hands-on science activities, creative design projects, and problem-solving. The Assistant Center Director will work with a talented team and students who are passionate about learning and innovation. This is a SUMMER ONLY position, running from June 15th to September 4th, requiring experience with children and previous management experience. The Assistant Center Director will support the successful delivery of five hands-on science camp sites across Seattle, including the flagship learning center in Greenlake. The ideal candidate will have experience with five-star customer service, particularly with parents and children, be highly organized, and possess the ability to make adaptive decisions to enhance the experience for families and guests. The role reports to the General Manager in Seattle and oversees the teaching staff, managing teacher schedules, ordering and preparing science materials, overseeing the quality of offsite summer camps, and ensuring strong brand representation among customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, including managing teacher shift schedules and ensuring coverage.
  • Maintain an excellent customer experience for parents and families through clear communication and problem-solving.
  • Monitor and organize camp inventory, supplies, and materials to support program needs both on-site in Greenlake and offsite at partner schools.
  • Collaborate with the general manager to implement camp policies aligned with Kids Science Labs Standards, safety guidelines, and operational improvements.
  • Understand program and curriculum requirements to ensure outstanding delivery of all program guidelines and experiences.
  • Support positive team dynamics and culture that enables kids to learn, grow, and develop as young scientists.
  • Be a part of a collaborative team that enables the next generation of creative thinkers.
