About The Position

At Caring for People Services, we are dedicated to helping clients of all ages live dignified, independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes. The Assistant Care Manager supports the Care Manager in coordinating high-quality, compassionate, non-medical home care services. This position assists with client care coordination, caregiver supervision, scheduling, documentation, training, and communication with clients, families, caregivers, healthcare providers, and payer sources. The Assistant Care Manager also serves as a role model and mentor for agency caregivers. Although this is not a regularly scheduled direct-care position, the Assistant Care Manager must be capable of providing services in a client’s home during emergencies or other urgent situations. Temporary direct-care coverage may also be assigned when a significant scheduling gap cannot be filled until an appropriate caregiver is hired or assigned. The Assistant Care Manager works under the direction of the Care Manager and does not independently assume full responsibility for a Care Manager’s caseload unless specifically assigned and authorized as their designee.
