About The Position

The Art Farm NYC is hiring Assistant Camp Teachers / Summer Camp Counselors / Childcare Assistants to join our 2026 Summer Camp team. Our summer camp works with children ages 2–9 and provides a creative, hands-on environment that includes art activities, nature exploration, outdoor play, and interactive learning. This role is ideal for individuals with experience or interest in:

Summer Camp Counselor roles
Childcare or Daycare positions
Teacher Assistant or Education roles
Youth Program Staff
Early Childhood Education

Requirements

• Passion for working with children
• Positive, energetic, and patient personality
• Reliable team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced summer camp environment
• Experience in childcare, daycare, education, youth programs, or summer camps preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers and Camp Counselors with daily camp programming
• Supervise campers ages 2–9 in a safe environment
• Help lead arts & crafts, games, outdoor activities, and creative play
• Encourage teamwork, participation, and positive behavior
• Maintain a safe, organized camp environment
• Follow camp schedules and activity plans
• Assist with documenting incidents or medical needs when needed
• Communicate professionally with families and staff
• Attend required staff meetings and pre-camp training
