About The Position

The primary role of this position is the daily operation of a credit union facility, ensuring the branch meets operational service standards along with strategic goal performance for the branch in conjunction with the Area Manager. To accomplish this role must ensure members and potential members receive timely, courteous, and accurate service from the branch staff. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations and policies, including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A commitment to delivering friendly, professional, and accurate service to members, vendors, and associates.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
  • A team-focused mindset with a desire to support branch goals, sales performance, and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary backup for all positions within the branch and manage branch operations in the absence of the Area Manager.
  • Process transactions, deliver superior member service, open accounts, and submit loan applications.
  • Oversee daily branch functions, including onboarding and training of new employees, and preparing staff work schedules.
  • Serve as the sales and service production ambassador of the branch by assisting staff in identifying cross-sell opportunities through established sales techniques and member referral campaigns.
  • Support the coaching process and conduct monthly, semi-annual, and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Handle first-level escalated in-branch issues to assist in resolving member concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Provide support to staff in day-to-day problem-solving.
  • Identify key training needs within the department and coordinate appropriate training through the Area Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance controls, including branch audits, cash handling, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary individual responsible for branch cash management and security controls, including but not limited to dual control procedures, ATM management, cash recycler operations, and audit compliance.
