You will be responsible for assisting with the direction and administration of Branch operations. You will ensure that established policies and procedures are followed. You will Oversee the provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. You will ensure that members are promptly and professionally served. You will act as Branch Manager as necessary. You will train, direct, and assist in supervising Branch staff. You will perform various Branch functions as required. You will be responsible for performing a broad variety of member and employee services such as: Assume responsibility for assisting in the supervision of Branch operations. Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and audit standards and provide suggestions for improved effectiveness. Ensure Branch security. Assist with opening and closing the building in accordance with set hours. Test security equipment as assigned. Ensure that the Branch balances all transactions at the close of each day. Proof Tellers, runs related reports, and balance the vault at the end of each day. Provide assistance to Tellers as needed. Completes month end certification of all cash items and negotiable instruments. Assist with Service Representative functions. Perform duties related to loan processing, certificates of deposit, and IRAs. Handle direct deposit functions and safe deposit boxes. Assist in opening new member accounts and with loan closings and disbursements. Promote Branch business development and seeks to broaden member base. Actively cross-sell Credit Union products and services. Complete required reports and records and ensures that Branch functions are properly documented. Assist with implementing changes to established policy and procedures within the Branch. Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relations with Branch personnel. Provide assistance, direction, and supervision as needed, including guidance for Tellers, and Service Representatives. Review and monitors the work of Branch personnel. Provide suggestions and support as necessary. Assist with orientation of new employees and staff training sessions. Ensure that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Perform cross training as necessary. Assist with determining appropriate staffing levels and scheduling employees. Assist with tracking individual progress and conducting performance appraisals. Formulate and implements corrective actions as needed. Member Service and cross sell goals met. Coaching of service and cross sell goals met. Act as a Loan Officer, processing and approving member loans within established policies and limit. Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members. Ensure that members' requests and questions are promptly and courteously resolved. Answer members' questions or refers appropriately. Verify deposits and provides payoff and bluebook quotes. Ensure the members are informed of Credit Union services, products, and policies. Cross-sell services. Ensure that the Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained. Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. Replace Branch Manager as necessary. Assist with personnel functions as assigned. Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. Check Approval Limit and Fee Refunds. Can approve checks with no hold up to $2,500+. Can refund any fees if the credit union is clearly at fault.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent. Additional coursework preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and policies.
  • Understanding of Teller/Member Service Representative functions.
  • Knowledge of Loan Officer duties
  • Two to five years of related operations experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well organized
  • Able to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment.
  • Good marketing skills
  • Good supervisory abilities.
