About The Position

The Assistant Branch Manager works with the Branch Manager to organize, plan, and implement strategies at a Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch. The role supports all aspects of branch operations, including customer service, sales, marketing, merchandising, inventory, finances, and store safety. The Assistant Branch Manager also assists with supervising and training store staff. The position is based at Automotive Finishes #9108, 1610 Ownby Ln, Richmond, VA 23220. It is full-time, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., based on business needs; hours are subject to change. Duties involve contact with customers, who may include minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuables. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
Must have at least one year of work experience in retail, sales, or customer service, or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program.

Nice To Haves

At least three years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
At least one year of work experience in a Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch.
At least one year of work experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
At least one year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams.
At least one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, or Outlook.
Work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
An associate degree or higher in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing a branch market plan based on market conditions, branch mission, and financial and budget objectives.
Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
Build and maintain knowledge of products to make effective customer recommendations.
Promote high customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Verify that customer orders and transactions are completed and documented accurately.
Maintain branch inventory levels.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including those for safety, loss prevention, and security.
Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
Respond to and resolve customer and employee complaints.
Assist in determining staffing needs and developing work schedules.
Analyze management and financial reports, including financial ratios related to profit and loss.
Assist with daily bank deposits.
