About The Position

The Assistant Branch Manager is a key partner to the Branch Manager, supporting leadership efforts to deliver exceptional customer experiences, achieve business goals, and maintain operational excellence. This role plays an active part in community engagement, team development, and ensuring compliance with Hoyne’s standards. The ABM serves as a role model for service excellence and helps foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and community involvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of retail banking or financial services experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of banking products, operations, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to engage with the community and build lasting relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using social media professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Branch Manager in coaching, mentoring, and developing branch staff.
  • Provide guidance on daily operations and help resolve escalated customer issues.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives to build a high-performing team.
  • Coach team members on consultative sales techniques and customer relationship building.
  • Act as acting Branch Manager when needed.
  • Represent Hoyne Bank at local events and networking opportunities to strengthen community relationships.
  • Support outreach programs and financial education initiatives.
  • Encourage staff participation in community activities and professional social media engagement.
  • Partner with the Branch Manager to drive deposit growth, household acquisition, and lending opportunities.
  • Monitor branch performance metrics and contribute to achieving sales goals.
  • Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance and audit readiness while protecting bank assets and customer information.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform all branch functions, including teller and platform duties, when needed to support team and service goals.
