This role manages all aspects of branch operations and customer service within our Community Banking Relationship Model. The Assistant Branch Manager is accountable for customer satisfaction, onboarding of new hires, ensuring the branch is compliant with all bank policies and procedures. They contribute to achieving bank relationship objectives including participating in referring products and services to customers based on their financial needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years of directly related banking experience.
General knowledge of First National Bank Bastrop products and services.
General knowledge of banking procedures, policies, and appropriate regulatory understanding related to job functions listed.
Proven ability to identify customer needs and tailor features and benefits of products/services to customers with differing needs.
Demonstrated ability to make personal connections, engage and educate customers, ask open-ended questions and use listening skills to establish trust and build lasting customer relationships.
Working knowledge of Silverlake system or comparable banking platform, nCino preferred.
Effective time management.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Bachelor's degree in business-related field.
First National Bank of Bastrop experience.
Two years of demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall branch administration of the Bank’s compliance, audit, and operational policies and procedures.
Supports Branch Staff in meeting operational objectives by managing all risks with compliance and audit controls.
Develops team using FNB Leadership Model, i.e., coaching, performance management, and acts as a player coach by modeling our Mission and Core Values to deliver a rewarding experience.
Assists customers by processing a variety of financial transactions efficiently and accurately according to established policies and procedures.
Reinforces and maintains accountability for execution of the Bank’s strategic initiatives.
Serves as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for customer complaints, complex transactions, balancing discrepancies, or other operational matters.
Engages all team members and business partners as appropriate.
Maintains the required knowledge of operational policies and procedures, and other compliance requirements that pertain to the Retail Bank.
Leverages the Community Relationship Model to support customer new account origination, maintenance, and reaching retail banking performance objectives.
In the performance of respective tasks and duties, this position must maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security, and Bank policies and procedures.
In compliance with all applicable regulations and Bank policies, this position is expected to successfully produce quality work within deadlines, with or without supervision; interact professionally with other employees, customers, and vendors, while always respecting the need for confidentiality of customer information.
The employee will work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Furthermore, the employee is encouraged to actively represent the Bank to customers and the general public in ways that promote the integrity, validity, and mission of the Bank by participating in community organizations, events, and activities.
The employee is also expected to maintain a commitment to continuing education in the banking field through self-study and both in-house and outside training opportunities in all applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
Regular and punctual attendance is expected, and appropriate attire is required at all times, while either performing job functions or representing the Bank at outside events and activities.
