The Assistant Branch Manager will support daily branch operations and lead drivers in their day-to-day activities to ensure timely, safe, and efficient operations. This role involves working alongside branch leadership, completing routes for absent employees, assisting with morning duties like sorting freight and loading trucks, tracking and updating daily reports, monitoring compliance with safety and DOT policies, and managing freight flow. The Assistant Branch Manager will also recommend and implement measures to improve productivity and customer service, participate in operational meetings, provide feedback on staff performance, and assist in training new employees. Travel may be required.
