About The Position

We are seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our branch. The ideal candidate will assist with staff supervision, member service, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role or leadership position
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of banking procedures and regulations is a plus
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate and utilize systems required to perform job functions.
  • Ability to work well with a team and individually.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example to exemplify CCCU behaviors, service standards, through community involvement and CU initiatives.
  • Appropriately evaluate and document employee performance, conduct transactional coaching, and participate in a minimum bi-weekly one on one coaching sessions with each employee to assist in their personal and professional development and growth within the credit union.
  • Establish and periodically review with Branch Manager staffing scheduling to ensure employees are staffed appropriately during peak and slow times and to eliminate overtime.
  • Responsible for reviewing, approving, denying, and correcting employee punches and PTO requests through Paylocity in a timely and efficient manner. All Paylocity modifications must be in compliance with all applicable state and federal labor laws.
  • Assist with retail staffing needs as they arise or as assigned by Regional Management as necessary.
  • Ability to assist in each branch position to aid with effective and efficient scheduling with detailed knowledge of Branch Procedures in accordance with the Branch Procedural Manual.
  • Review negotiable items when the amount exceeds the employee limits or other activities that need supervisory approval.
  • Ensure that established branch goals are met using goal setting and action plans.
  • Supporting the branch by fostering a positive work environment, meeting or exceeding established branch goals while contributing to the daily operational tasks/duties assigned by the Branch Manager and/or Regional Management team.
  • Actively monitors work facilities for any security concerns and reports to the appropriate party.
  • Periodically review team members account openings and loan applications to ensure work is being completed in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations to minimize potential losses due to fraud.
  • Complete ongoing training required by compliance by set due date including BVS, security training, and developmental training.
  • Assist/lead weekly branch team huddles.
  • Appropriately and tactfully address and resolve both external and internal member situations and concerns.
  • Professionally participate in community involvement and assist the Branch Manager with business development opportunities and encourage branch employees to participate.
  • Strong communication between Branch Manager, Retail Regional Management team, Learning and Development and Human Resources to encourage an environment of growth and professional development.
