Join Our Team as an Assistant Branch Manager Location: Haverhill, MA | Full-Time Do you have a passion for helping others reach their financial goals? We’re looking for an Assistant branch Manager to serve our Bridgewater members, with the ability to travel to other branches as needed. In this role, you will oversee the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager and assist with the daily management of the branch. The Assistant Branch Manager will train, motivate, and provide performance feedback to employees, while modeling sales and service standards. Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of three to four years branch sales, service, and operations experience within a financial institution.
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven written and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Provides Medallion and/or notary service for membership. (Required as part of the job within 90 days of hire)
  • Flexibility of work hours and proven reliability/dependability required.
  • Must have excellent cross-selling and problem solving skills.
  • Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and must maintain registration with NMLS as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).

Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager with sales, service, and operational control. Guides and advises staff and members about complex member issues. Ensures proper communication between departments.
  • Participates in hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, developing, promoting, compensation, and disciplining subordinates within the current policies and procedures established through Human resources and within approved budget guidelines.
  • Champions sales activities, programs, processes and tactics across the branch organization and local marketplace focused on retaining and deepening member relationships and attracting new members and business to the Credit Union.
  • Participates and supports the sales/service culture by conducting daily huddles at the direction of the manager.
  • Performs all sales and service activities necessary to meet the assigned quarterly goals whole creating an exceptional member experience. Focused on relationship deepening by creating member interest in more products and services.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all products and services offered by the Credit Union including periodic promotional offerings.
  • Originates and closes all loan types via direct member contact, telephone, mail, and fax applications. Uses loan processing system to create approved documents for funding and disbursement. Ensures that all conditions for approval are met, obtains all required documentation, and disburses loans via direct member contact or email. Demonstrates full knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Manages all aspects of operations including the proper control and accountability of cash handling procedures.
  • Assists members with problem resolution, more complex deposit/lending issues, etc. in a prompt, effective and professional manner.
  • Handles opening and closing of all account types and completes all proper documentation.
