Performs supervisory and customer sales and service functions to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of branch operations in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures. Oversees branch staff and assists in the coordination and delegation of work assignments. Supports, and adheres to, the Bank’s strategic plan as well as established policies and procedures, and recommends changes to support prescribed requirements or enhance operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • At least two years of teller or customer service experience with demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Working knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer services, and inter-personal skills.
  • Able to use various office equipment including computer terminal.
  • Able to work extended or weekend hours.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed all financial objectives pertaining to individual goals and branch team goals. Engage with customers following established customer interaction model, to establish new customer relationships, retain and deepen existing customer relationships and provide highest customer service standards. Fulfill customer financial needs by utilizing sales process, which may include referring to business partners, and closing sales and completing Customer Summaries.
  • Provides broad range of customer service with the ability to open personal and Business Accounts. Handles the more complex inquiries and problems. Provides information and assistance to customers for effective promotion, sale, and servicing of the Bank’s various products and services. Ability to research and analyze data to resolve customer problems
  • Manages Personal Banker Portfolio.
  • Ability to perform Teller Duties, balance branch. May be responsible for vault, and teller cash in absence of UB III. Helps maintains Branch Cash Vault and branch limits – May order and ship, coin & currency.
  • Act as manager in manager’s absence overseeing staff of =/<5 in mid transaction/traffic branch. Masters all operational, sales, and services aspects of retail banking. Ability to train staff. Assists in overseeing daily sales and operations of the branch including coaching of staff. Scheduling of staff. May conduct monthly customer service staff meetings and communicate corporate sales and service goals and objectives to the branch staff. May be involved in community activities. Has advanced business account acumen and ability to sell/discuss cash management checking with business customers. Ability to deliver onsite cash management set up training with customers. Ability to conduct business calls supporting existing business customer retention and cross sales.
  • Ensures accuracy of internal branch records and maintenance (safe deposit box, night depository bags, key control, etc.). Manages the quality control function of new accounts and follows-up on identified deficiencies to ensure timely corrective action. -Ability to possess key and alarm code. Ability to place holds with approval authority. Will take consumer loan applications and close consumer loans including equity loans. Check signing authority. Supervisor with exception authority. Ensure branch is in compliance with all policies and procedures. Wire capabilities, input and approval authority. Payroll approval ability. Signature guarantee authority. Review cameras. Notary Public. Authority to conduct audits. Supervises daily branch settlement and monitors teller’s shorts and overages under supervision of Branch Manager. Review and decision OD’s. Manage aged overdrafts. Serve on bank committees. May need to be fully Certified Universal Banker having mastered UB II and UB III Skills. Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required or assigned.
  • Functions as acting Branch Manager in their absence. May be required to perform duties teller duties, as needed, to meet business demand or staff shortages.
